Company selected to advance AI-enabled enterprise IT modernization for the General Services Administration, continuing a flagship federal civilian program
RESTON, Va.: Empower AI announced today that it has been awarded the Digital Innovation for General Services Administration Infrastructure Technologies (DIGIT) Next Generation (XGen) task order under the GSA Alliant 2 Governmentwide Acquisition Contract, with a total value of $145.6 million over a two-year period of performance beginning July 1, 2026.
The award extends Empower AI's long-standing role as GSA's enterprise IT services partner, evolving the original DIGIT program into a next-generation model built around automation, AI/ML integration, and modern service delivery. Under DIGIT XGen, Empower AI will deliver end-to-end enterprise IT support - including omni-channel service desk operations, device and mobile device management, ServiceNow platform engineering, security operations, and solutions engineering for users across more than 800 government installations nationwide and select international locations.
"This award reflects the trust GSA has placed in our team and the results we've delivered throughout our partnership," said Jeffrey Bohling, President and CEO of Empower AI. "As the federal IT environment continues to evolve, DIGIT XGen allows us to build on that foundation by bringing more AI-enabled automation, modernization, and measurable outcomes to GSA’s workforce and the agencies they serve."
Central to the next-generation program is a mandate to embed intelligent automation throughout the IT service lifecycle, from AIOps-driven infrastructure monitoring to predictive incident resolution and self-service enablement. Empower AI will draw on its Accelerator Framework and production-proven ITSM AI capabilities to advance these objectives at scale.
"We understand what it takes to keep a complex, dispersed federal enterprise running reliably," said Katie Sutton, Vice President of Operations at Empower AI. "DIGIT XGen gives us a clear mandate to go further by driving measurable improvements in user experience and operational efficiency through intelligent automation."
The award builds on Empower AI's established DIGIT program track record, which has achieved outstanding customer satisfaction scores while supporting 18,000 users.
