SAN JOSE, Calif.: Hark has built the industry’s top-performing AI for browsing the web and taking actions on a user’s behalf.

Hark’s newly announced computer use agent, called Hark Handoff, allows users to simply hand off the tasks they don’t want to deal with. It’s recorded the top-ever score in web use on the industry-standard OM2W benchmark, outperforming comparative models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google - and Hark can serve this to users at less than 1/10th the token price.

Handoff is capable of accomplishing tangible tasks, like:

- Ordering dinner end-to-end on DoorDash and Uber Eats

- Price comparing and booking flights on United, Delta, and American

- Researching candidates, messaging and recruiting on LinkedIn

Hark has shared the methodology and benchmarks behind Handoff in its first ever research preview before it makes the feature available later this summer.

“The world is full of AI assistants, but you’d never hire an assistant who couldn’t use a computer,” says Adcock. “So we’re teaching computers to use computers for us, and we’re starting with the place where most computer use happens: the web.”

According to Hark’s internal research, 74.9% of all computer use occurs in a browser. The company has spent the better part of a year developing frontier-level AI capabilities to help people save hours a week where they work most often. Handoff operates its browser through a dedicated virtual computer, clicking on buttons and filling in forms for the user. It’s capable of deciphering websites it’s never encountered before.

This research is a critical step toward Hark’s larger goal: designing the next generation of consumer electronics with personalized intelligence at their core. These products are integrating bespoke AI models with craft hardware to enable truly natural interactions with computers.

While Hark’s first hardware product is in development, anyone can try Handoff later this summer with the initial release of Hark’s software platform.
