Agreement expands Tyler’s education footprint across West Virginia and supports cloud-based financial and workforce management for 65 education agencies

PLANO, Texas: $TYL #TylerTech--Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today it has signed an agreement with the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) for Tyler’s cloud-based Enterprise ERP Financial Management and Human Resources Management software suites across 65 agencies statewide.

The agreement will support 55 county school districts, seven multi-county vocational centers, and three educational service cooperatives servicing approximately 250,000 students throughout West Virginia. The deployment replaces a legacy financial and payroll system and establishes a modern cloud-based foundation designed to enhance efficiency, transparency, reporting, and compliance.

WVDE selected Tyler following a competitive RFP process, citing the company’s deep K-12 functionality, proven experience with statewide ERP deployments, modern cloud architecture, and advanced reporting capabilities. The implementation will enable the creation of a statewide enterprise data portal designed to improve reporting, transparency, and access to operational insights.

“Schools and education organizations are increasingly modernizing to operate more efficiently, improve financial transparency, and turn data into actionable insights,” said Chris Webster, president of Tyler’s ERP & Civic Division. “Statewide modernization initiatives require a partner with proven public sector expertise and a deep understanding of education operations. Our purpose-built ERP platform will provide West Virginia’s education organizations with a secure, scalable cloud solution for critical financial and workforce management needs for years to come.”

Tyler’s Enterprise ERP solution provides financial management, human resources, payroll, procurement, budgeting, and reporting capabilities. Tyler's Enterprise ERP software is the only ERP software built exclusively to support the operational needs of local governments and schools. The solution is designed to increase transparency and operational efficiency while supporting the core functions, including financial management, procurement, human resources, payroll, and revenue management.
