Based in Lugano, Switzerland, the new company will boost the international growth of the Italian group, further expanding operations in Switzerland
A new company in Switzerland for Var Group, the Italian system integrator dealing in IT services and solutions. Var Group Suisse SA, based in Lugano, will consolidate the activities of the group carried out since ten years through the subsidiary WSS IT Sagl. The leadership of the new company will be entrusted to the Chief Executive Officer Lorenzo Sala and to Massimo Fumagalli as Chairman.
This is only the first step in a path aiming to consolidate the activities of Var Group in Switzerland, already carried out through a series of key partnerships with companies and institutions. Among the collaborations already active, there is the one with ATED ICT Ticino, the independent association of the ICT sector in the Canton of Ticino, and the one with Plan B, an initiative of the Municipality of Lugano together with the blockchain-enabled platform Tether. As part of this partnership, Var Group is among the sponsors of the Plan B Summer School, an intense two-week program (3 to 16 July) which aims to enhance blockchain education and train expert profiles in this area also for recruiting purposes.
“The foundation of Var Group Suisse responds to Var Group's need to oversee and give value to the territory and its local players, establishing proactive and direct communication with all those involved to support our customers in the best possible way. The creation of a structure dedicated to the support and management of operations in Switzerland, together with key partnerships, will also allow Var Group to evaluate new possible expansions in the Swiss market. The birth of this new important reality is yet another piece of a national and international growth path that allows us to be present in 10 countries and more than 3,400 collaborators", commented Francesca Moriani, CEO of Var Group.
