Zucchetti acquires german retail specialist AWEK microdata

Zucchetti offering for retailers has been enriched with a customer-centric solution, to boost the Group’s position in the DACH region

Companies

For over 30 years, AWEK microdata GmbH has been one of the leading German providers of checkout software and comprehensive services for medium-sized retailers. AWEK designs euroSUITE, a professional software solution for medium-sized businesses for head office, branch management and point of sale, aimed at helping clients succeed through reliability, innovation and customer centricity.

These values make AWEK the perfect fit for the Zucchetti Group. As of May 20th, AWEK microdata joined the Zucchetti Group. Zucchetti is pleased to welcome the retail expert in its ranks as part of the German branch Zucchetti Germany GmbH, thereby further strengthening and expanding the already extensive know-how in the retail sector. In addition to Michael Schildhauer, who will remain a Managing Director, Dirk Schwindling and Martin Becker will strengthen the management team.

Germany, as well as the rest of the DACH region, represent a crucial strategic market for Zucchetti. The retail sector is one of our main focuses and we are pleased to have won over AWEK microdata to join our ranks. This is an important addition to our iCore strategy, to offer a differentiated portfolio of software solutions in which euroSUITE, together with the existing POS solutions TCPOS and ePOS Cloud, will be a strong protagonist for our success", says Dirk Schwindling, CSO of Zucchetti Group.

"Our euroSUITE product family will further strengthen the Zucchetti Group's solution portfolio in the POS area and with the affiliation to Zucchetti, valuable integration possibilities with Zucchetti's HR tools and ERP systems arise. This will enable us to offer our customers a complete, holistic solution. I am looking forward to an exciting time, great projects and working together as equals", added Michael Schildhauer, Managing Director of AWEK microdata GmbH.
