BEIJING: As Auto China 2026 opened here, GWM used the event to unveil its comprehensive global localization strategy, shifting from product exports toward a full-service industrial ecosystem. Under the theme “Commitment & Integrity,” the Chinese automaker welcomed 1,500 overseas media and dealers, underscoring its growing international reach.
In a keynote speech, GWM CEO Mu Feng said commitment and integrity are essential to accelerating high-quality growth. Guided by the Guiyuan (GWM ONE) philosophy, the company focuses on real user needs, solid product strength, technological excellence and global brand value.
“Trust built on commitment and integrity is the strongest foundation in business,” Mu said. He reaffirmed GWM’s goal of deepening roots in international markets, constructing a complete business ecosystem and advancing what he called “ecosystem-based globalization.”
GWM Chairman Jack Wey, speaking at the overseas distributors conference held alongside the show, elaborated on the importance of “Xin” (integrity) in three areas: users, partners and the global stage.
“We would rather lose a business opportunity than compromise our credibility,” Wey said. He pledged that GWM would not lower product quality or service standards, nor engage in price wars at the expense of safety and long-term reliability. Noting that the company has held weekly vehicle evaluation meetings for 21 years – more than 1,000 sessions open to users and media – he added: “When consumers buy a vehicle, they are placing their trust in us.”
On partnership, Wey said GWM would not pass business pressure down to suppliers or distributors, nor force inventory on dealers. “We are looking for partners who share our values and believe in the same long-term direction,” he said.
On the exhibition floor, GWM showcased six major lineups, including the WEY V9X flagship built on the GWM ONE S Platform with a native AI agent and Super Hi4 hybrid architecture, and the TANK 700 – the first body-on-frame model to integrate a VLA large model. The SOUO Motorcycles line, powered by a 2,000 cc horizontally opposed eight-cylinder engine, also drew attention.
In the technology zone, GWM presented a new high-performance V8 engine developed in-house, as well as the GWM ONE Platform – supporting PHEV, HEV, BEV, FCEV and ICE on a single architecture. The Hi4 hybrid family has evolved into tailored solutions for general off-road (Hi4-Z) and hardcore off-road (Hi4-T) demands.
