TAMPA, Fla.: iGov Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of advanced federal tactical communications solutions, has been selected to advance to Phase 2 of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Electromagnetic Warfare Ground Instrumented Range (EWGIR) competitive prototyping program, following the thorough evaluation of the company’s EWGIR Phase 1 demonstration, operator feedback, and technical compliance.

EWGIR is a training capability being developed under the Marine Corps’ Program Manager Training Systems (PM TRASYS) to provide realistic training in contested electromagnetic operating environments where communications, GPS, and other capabilities aren’t working properly. The system is intended to enable Marines to train against electromagnetic warfare effects, such as jamming, spoofing, degradation and disruption, while providing instrumentation and feedback to support electromagnetic spectrum operations training.

During the Phase 1 live range demonstration, iGov's EWGIR prototype proved to be a strong performer in Electronic Support (ES), wideband spectrum sensing, and geolocation capabilities, and the Marine Corps’ evaluation recognized the value of iGov's open API data architecture, highlighting the solution's interoperability and potential for integration with existing and future training systems.

"Advancing to Phase 2 is an important milestone for iGov and a strong validation of the technical capabilities demonstrated by our team," said iGov’s Senior Vice President, Dr. Steve Carlton. "Our solution brings together advanced spectrum sensing, Electronic Support, geolocation, and an open architecture designed to support the Marine Corps' evolving electromagnetic warfare training requirements. We are proud of our team's success and look forward to continuing this work in Phase 2."

During Phase 2, iGov will focus on developing a fully functional prototype, building on the capabilities demonstrated during the Phase 1 evaluation. The effort is expected to last five months and is intended to further mature iGov's solution and position the company for consideration for Phase 3 and a potential subsequent production opportunity.

The EWGIR program is part of the Marine Corps' broader Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training Environment (LVC-TE), directly injecting a denied/degraded/disrupted electromagnetic-spectrum environment into live training. iGov extends its appreciation to its team members who supported the Phase 1 effort and whose extensive planning, preparation, engineering, and execution were instrumental to the successful live demonstration and ultimately contributed to the strengthening of the Marine Corps’ capabilities.

"We are excited to continue expanding iGov's capabilities in the Electronic Warfare and Training Systems market," said iGov’s President and COO, Chuck Reiche. "This achievement reflects the technical expertise, innovation, and commitment of the entire team."
