Acquisition brings decades of managed services and cybersecurity expertise to Trafera’s growing platform

ARDEN HILLS, Minn.: #privateequity--Trafera Holdings, LLC (“Trafera”), a leading provider of technology hardware, software and support services for the K-12 and higher education markets and a portfolio company of Rotunda Capital Partners (“Rotunda”), is excited to announce its acquisition of Morris Electronics Inc. (“Morris”), an IT solutions provider based in Morris, Minnesota.

Morris has designed, implemented and supported technology solutions for state and local government agencies and businesses, including network and application design, cybersecurity and IT management outsourcing since 1991. The acquisition brings Morris's public-sector relationships and managed services expertise into Trafera's platform, while giving Morris's customers access to Trafera's broader suite of devices, infrastructure and technology solutions.

“Morris has spent decades building trusted relationships with the public-sector customers who depend on them most,” said Pat Davidson, CEO of Trafera. “Their expertise in state and local government IT, together with their history of hands-on customer service, makes them a great fit as we continue to broaden the markets we serve and build a larger, more diversified technology platform.”

“Our team has always been focused on being a true technology partner to the communities and organizations we serve,” said Shawn Larsen, President and CEO of Morris. “Joining Trafera gives us access to greater resources and expertise, so we can keep delivering the level of service our customers expect, now backed by a larger platform.”

Rohit Dhake, Partner at Rotunda, said, “Morris is exactly the kind of business Rotunda looks to support - a respected regional IT provider with a strong public-sector reputation and a team committed to growth. We're excited to back Trafera as it continues to expand its capabilities and footprint.”

The acquisition reflects Trafera's ongoing strategy of partnering with respected regional IT and managed services providers to build a larger, diversified technology platform serving customers across the country.
