FAIRFAX, Va.: Global Resilience Federation (GRF), a non-profit network of collective defense communities, is pleased to announce that Google Cloud has joined four of its affiliated groups: Business Resilience Council (BRC), Manufacturing Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MFG-ISAC), Operational Technology Information Sharing and Analysis Center (OT-ISAC) and Energy Analytic Security Exchange (EASE).

The four groups share a common mission to facilitate collaboration and education by exchanging cyber and physical threat intelligence, best practices, and other security insights. The BRC acts as the central hub, leading efforts in operational resilience, geopolitical intelligence, supply chain security, multi-sector exercises, and liaising with the other groups and communities in the GRF network. The MFG-ISAC supports manufacturers in safeguarding their digital environments, the OT-ISAC specializes in Operational Technology security for critical infrastructure, and EASE provides vital threat intelligence to electric utilities.

“We’re excited to have Google Cloud engage these collective defense communities,” said Global Resilience Federation CEO Mark Orsi. “These four groups have scores of organizations that share prevention, mitigation and recovery intelligence and best practices for the common good of fellow members. Having Google Cloud bring its cyber and supply chain maturity to the networks is a welcome addition that will benefit both Google and the other members of these communities.”

“As threat actors become more sophisticated, particularly with the advent of more sophisticated tools, it is important to engage our customers and other organizations to prevent cascading impacts from cyber attacks and supply chain disruptions. Strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure and a critical sector such as Manufacturing, driving the development of advanced defense technologies, and shaping supportive cybersecurity policies demands robust, deep partnerships,” said Google Cloud CISO Phil Venables. “Through GRF and its constituent groups we are able to connect with many companies that can benefit from our expertise in order to strengthen operational and security environments.”

BRC, MFG-ISAC, OT-ISAC and EASE members engage in frequent working groups, calls, webinars and other meetings to foster engagement and help prevent and mitigate threats to their operating environments. Members also leverage a security collaboration platform where they can share analyst-enriched threat information to stay ahead of disruptive attacks from malicious actors.
