ARLINGTON, Va.: #HealthIT--Surescripts Health Information Network LLC™, a subsidiary of Surescripts®, has been designated as a Qualified Health Information Network® QHIN™ by the Recognized Coordinating Entity® (RCE®), The Sequoia Project, Inc.

As a designated QHIN, Surescripts Health Information Network can now provide access to nationwide health data exchange governed by the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement™ (TEFCA™) policies and technical requirements, joining other designated QHINs.

Now Surescripts Network Alliance participants—electronic health records and other technology vendors, health plans, health systems, and pharmacies—have the opportunity to connect to Surescripts Health Information Network, a QHIN, via Interconnect™.

Background:
