NEW YORK: Legora, the collaborative AI platform for lawyers, has today announced the launch of Workflows, an advanced agentic AI framework that enables lawyers to use natural language and tools to orchestrate multi-step legal work.
One prompt, a cascade of AI-powered tasks
Using Workflows, lawyers can enter a high-level goal using natural language, provide the relevant documents to Legora and let the agentic system plan and complete the entire task.
What sets Legora Workflows apart is that it can call on multiple tools and data sources in one workflow. It can create a Tabular Review to perform a complex extraction, invoke a web search for case law, and verify citations via a legal database.
For example, a typical due diligence process means lawyers have to manually read through thousands of documents, take detailed notes, and combine these notes into a final report – a tedious and error-prone task.
With Legora Workflows, lawyers simply upload the documents and run the workflow. Legora then creates a clear plan, pulls out the most important information, highlights possible risks, and even drafts the relevant section of the final report, increasing the quality of the output and saving hours of manual work.
Workflows that align with your firm
The feature is designed to be intuitive and flexible, allowing lawyers to create and fine-tune custom workflows, ensuring that Legora’s agentic processes adhere to the firm’s existing protocols and ways of working every time. This will ensure that workflows reflect each practice’s unique approach to tasks whilst maintaining consistency, standardisation, and quality every time a task is carried out. This also supports firms with adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
With the introduction of Workflows, Legora’s capabilities will drastically increase quality and efficiency on a range of commonly undertaken, high-volume workstreams. Instead, lawyers will be able to spend more time analysing a finished, actionable product to provide strategic advice and solutions to their clients.
‘Ahead of anything else currently available’
Legora CEO Max Junestrand said: “If there’s one thing that sets Legora apart, it’s that we listen to lawyers to build the best possible product that truly solves their problems. Firms have long asked for more systematic and nuanced ways of working with AI, and Legora’s Workflows are just that. We’re incredibly proud of the enhanced product that we’re now offering, which is ahead of anything else currently available in the market.
“Lawyers we work with have been very clear; they don’t want to use tech for the sake of using tech. Low / no-code tools and template builders that effectively turn lawyers into part-time programmers to configure logic and prompts don’t cut it.
“That’s why we’ve developed Workflows in tight collaboration with the world’s leading firms and attorneys to make it easy for everyone - from Knowledge Managers to Associates to Partners - to leverage the power of Legora’s capabilities and achieve repeatable and deterministic high-quality outputs with AI. With Workflows, Legora thinks and acts as a side-kick by intelligently planning and then executing tasks, using the right tools for the job without any technical set up.
“We’re confident Workflows will help drive further Legora adoption and drive our mission to support top legal minds in providing greater value to their clients, as they are less occupied by the fact-finding or meticulous reviewing, and can dedicate more human resource to serving as critical legal and commercial advisors.”
As Workflows becomes available to all existing clients, Legora engineers will work closely and collaboratively to support integration and adoption.
