N-able supports customers in the defense supply chain with a scalable UEM solution designed for compliance and business resilience
BURLINGTON, Mass.: N-able, Inc. (NYSE: NABL), a global software company delivering an end-to-end cyber resilience platform, today announced the public preview of a version of its N-able N-central unified endpoint management (UEM) solution supporting CMMC 2.0 controls-which customers can run to control their own data and infrastructure in their secure environments. This release empowers N-able customers doing business in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) to utilize N-central in a certified environment, helping them to meet evolving compliance requirements and build increasing levels of cyber resilience that ultimately fuel business resilience.
“CMMC 2.0 isn’t just a compliance milestone, it’s a signal of where the industry is headed,” said Mike Adler, Chief Technology and Product Officer, N-able. “At N-able, we see this as an opportunity to help our customers lead with confidence in a security-first future. By delivering a solution that empowers our customers to more easily do business within the Defense Industrial Base, we’re not only meeting the moment, we’re driving readiness and strengthening business resilience.”
N-central’s new capabilities allow managed services providers (MSPs) and internal IT teams doing business with Department of Defense (DoD) contractors and subcontractors to maintain eligibility for DoD contracts by aligning with CMMC 2.0, level 2 standards. This announcement reinforces N-able as a vendor offering a purpose-built product and support for CMMC 2.0.
“At Intech Hawaii, CMMC Level 2 certification was a critical milestone for us as part of our mission to support and protect our rapidly growing base of government contracting customers,” stated Terence Tang, Vice President, Strategy, Intech Hawaii. “N-able N-central helps keep us confident in our ability to continue to deliver on this promise.”
N-central Difference:
According to Brett Kimmell, Managing Member and Principal Cybersecurity Consultant, Kimmell Cybersecurity, “N-central played an important role in our success in achieving CMMC Level 2 certification, and provides the tools we need to scale patching, monitoring, and security across thousands of endpoints. It’s already driving new business and setting us apart in the industry.”
Building on this foundation, N-able Adlumin Extended Detection and Response (XDR) and expert Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services bring advanced threat detection, 24/7 monitoring, automated incident response, and expert-driven managed detection and response-ensuring continuous monitoring and rapid containment. Designed to keep sensitive data protected, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) is not accessible to Adlumin analysts as a Security Protection Asset under CMMC guidelines. It maps directly to key CMMC 2.0 controls, helping organizations streamline compliance and reduce risk.
Together, N-central and Adlumin XDR/MDR deliver unified, robust, and scalable IT management and cybersecurity for organizations navigating the complex compliance requirements of CMMC 2.0 and today’s evolving threat landscape.
The announcement follows industry momentum from events like the C5S Global Conference. With a proactive approach, N-able positions its customers to stay ahead of regulatory shifts and maintain competitive advantage in the federal government/DoD space. The public preview of the CMMC-ready N-central version is available now, with general availability planned for early in the first quarter of 2026.
