KARACHI, Pakistan & LOS ANGELES: #AIinHealthcare--Pioneering health tech firm Boston Health AI [BHAI], behind the world’s first AI-powered physician’s assistant HAMI, has appointed Dr. Monica Jain as its new Chief Operating Officer. Based in the United States, Dr. Jain brings more than a decade of experience across clinical practice, health-tech strategy, biomedical engineering, human factors, and early-stage company building.
Her appointment comes as BHAI accelerates global expansion and continues scaling Hami to improve physician experience and strengthen health-system efficiency.
Dr. Jain is a board-certified former General and Endocrine Surgeon, with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering and a medical degree from Boston University. Followed by her surgical training at Cedars-Sinai and an endocrine surgery fellowship at UCSF, her background in Human Factors Engineering gives her a practical understanding of how emerging technologies can be integrated safely into real clinical environments - a core pillar of Boston Health AI’s mission.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Jain has spent more than a decade advising and partnering with health-tech startups, healthcare systems, and venture capital funds. She is a Partner at Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health and founder of Dissect Health, a strategy firm helping companies de-risk innovation. As COO, she will lead operations, partnerships, and execution strategy for the company’s next growth phase.
“Monica brings deep connectivity across the healthcare innovation ecosystem - from startups and investors to clinical leaders and health systems,” said Dr. Adil Haider, Founder of BHAI. “Her experience integrating new technologies into clinical workflows and guiding early-stage companies is exactly what we need as we scale Hami into a global platform. We’re excited to welcome her to our leadership team.”
Reflecting on her new role, Dr. Jain said, “I’m excited to join Boston Health AI at a time when healthcare demands real, human-centered innovation. I believe technology must serve patients and physicians. With my combined experience in surgery, biomedical engineering, and startup strategy, I’m looking forward to helping bring Hami into real-world care settings - improving workflows, enabling physicians, and ultimately elevating patient care.”
Dr. Jain will lead innovation and strategy at BHAI, expanding its global footprint and advancing equitable, clinically informed AI tools for healthcare.
