Tokyo joins Silicon Valley and London in a growing global series shaping the future of next-generation humanoid robotics

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.: #EmbodiedAI--The Humanoids Summit is expanding to Asia with its first Japanese edition in Tokyo, scheduled for May 28–29, 2026 at the Takanawa Convention Center. The site of this event reflects Japan’s rising interest in next-generation humanoid robots, embodied AI, and real-world deployments. Registration opens today at www.humanoidssummit.com.

Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro will serve as the opening keynote speaker at the Summit. “By creating lifelike robots, we’re not merely building machines but also exploring what it means to be human,” said Professor Ishiguro, who leads the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory at Osaka University. “I am excited to deliver the opening keynote for Humanoids Summit Tokyo and to demonstrate our Geminoid robot live on stage.”

The expansion follows a strong showing at this week’s Humanoids Summit in Silicon Valley, which drew 2,000 attendees over two days and represented 450 companies from more than 50 countries. The event also featured more than 75 speakers, 60 exhibiting teams, and broad media coverage across Asia, Europe and the United States. Japanese outlets in attendance included Nikkei, TV Tokyo, Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun and NHK.

“Japan has a long and distinguished history in robotics and manufacturing,” said Modar Alaoui, founder and chair of the Humanoids Summit and general partner at ALM Ventures. “With renewed national focus on next-generation humanoid systems and a vibrant community of innovators, bringing the Summit to Tokyo is both a natural evolution and an important milestone.”

The Humanoids Summit has become the leading global platform dedicated solely to humanoid robotics and embodied AI, with Silicon Valley as its anchor edition and London as its European edition. The Tokyo launch responds to growing demand from Japanese companies, research leaders and operators who are advancing commercial humanoid systems, mass-production pathways and AI architectures for physical machines.

The Tokyo Summit will feature live humanoid robot demonstrations, keynote speeches, panels, fireside chats, startup pitches, and participation from leading companies, operators, research labs, and investors.

Sponsorship Opportunities Now Open

Companies interested in sponsoring the Humanoids Summit Tokyo are encouraged to reserve early due to anticipated demand.

Call for Speakers Coming Soon

Speaker submissions will open in early January on the Summit website.
