SAN DIEGO: #5G--AirHop Communications, the industry leader in AI-powered Radio Access Network (RAN) automation, today announced a pivotal collaboration with Nokia to integrate its Auptim portfolio of RAN automation and optimization solutions with the Nokia SMO Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) platform. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the evolution of AI-RAN, combining AirHop’s specialized AirHopAITM algorithms with Nokia’s industry-leading autonomous networking platform to redefine the AI-native wireless era.

As the industry moves toward 6G, the complexity of managing highly distributed, multi-vendor networks has outpaced human capability. The AI-RAN approach solves this by embedding intelligence directly into the network architecture. By joining the MantaRay ecosystem, AirHop provides mobile network operators (MNOs) with the "brains" of autonomous network management-enabling networks that sense, think, and act in real-time.

“AI is no longer an add-on to network automation, it is the fundamental architecture of the future,” noted Joe Thome, AirHop CEO. “Our collaboration with Nokia is about more than just software integration-it’s about building the AI-RAN foundation that will empower autonomous networks worldwide.”

AirHop Auptim portfolio of RAN automation and optimization applications are available within the Nokia SMO Marketplace.
