Aqara offered a unified, comprehensive home security experience to users with the world’s first Matter-certified camera and the reliable wired camera

NEW YORK: Aqara, a global leader and pioneer in IoT, today announced the availability of the Camera Hub G350, the world’s first Matter-certified camera, and the Doorbell Camera G400 (Wired), expanding its next-generation smart home security lineup. Together, these new products deliver seamless interoperability, intelligent monitoring, and comprehensive home coverage for the modern smart home.

Camera Hub G350: World’s First Matter-Certified Camera and Smart Home Controller

The Aqara Camera Hub G350 marks an important milestone for Aqara as the world’s and the company’s first Matter-certified camera. Built to deliver future-ready interoperability, the G350 connects directly to Matter-enabled platforms* while offering live view, two-way audio, and alerts within the Matter-enabled ecosystem. Beyond serving as an indoor security camera, the device also functions as a Zigbee hub and Matter Controller in Aqara Home, enabling Aqara Zigbee devices and third-party Matter products to work together under unified smart home control. It also serves as a Matter bridge, bridging Aqara Zigbee devices to Matter ecosystems.

Beyond ecosystem connectivity, the G350 delivers powerful indoor monitoring through an advanced dual-lens system that combines a 4K wide-angle camera with a 2.5K telephoto lens. With up to 9× hybrid zoom and a smooth pan-tilt mechanism providing 360° coverage, the camera captures both panoramic views and close-up details throughout the home. AI-powered automatic tracking keeps people and pets in frame, while on-device intelligence detects meaningful events and sounds to ensure users receive alerts that truly matter. Designed with privacy in mind, the G350 also includes encrypted cloud storage options, local recording support, and a physical lens-shield mechanism that automatically covers the camera when it is turned off.

Doorbell Camera G400 (Wired): Always-On, Wired Video Doorbell with PoE and Local AI

For outdoor security, the Doorbell Camera G400 (Wired) is designed for continuous, reliable operation. Featuring 2K resolution, a 165° ultra-wide field of view, and a 3:4 head-to-toe aspect ratio, the G400 captures visitors and packages clearly at a glance. It supports Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for uninterrupted power and a stable wired network connection, or existing 8–24V doorbell wiring with dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz).

The G400 also combines local and cloud AI detection to provide more contextual security alerts. On-device detection enables the camera to recognize people and motion even without an internet connection, while additional cloud-based AI capabilities can identify faces, packages, vehicles, animals, and other events for more advanced monitoring. The doorbell camera integrates seamlessly with major smart home platforms, including Apple Home with HomeKit Secure Video**, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings. With RTSP support, it can also stream video to platforms such as Home Assistant and other compatible network video recorder systems.

Security Designed for Interoperability, Built for Privacy

Together, the launch of the G350 and G400 reflects Aqara’s commitment to local-first intelligence, privacy-forward design, and deep ecosystem interoperability, combining always-on visibility, advanced AI detection, and secure local and cloud storage - without locking users into a single ecosystem. Aqara continues bringing professional-grade security capabilities to modern smart homes by delivering a unified security experience across Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, and professional and enthusiast platforms alike.

Both products emphasize privacy and user control, with features like local microSD storage (up to 512 GB)*** and NAS backup, end-to-end encrypted Aqara cloud storage via HomeGuardian. In addition, the G350’s physical privacy shutter that automatically covers the lens when the camera is turned off offers reliable privacy protection to users.
