USP-grade inhibited propylene glycol heat transfer fluid recognized for alignment with OCP liquid cooling initiatives

WOODRIDGE, Ill.: Dober today announced that its COOLWAVE™ DC-25 heat transfer fluid has been awarded OCP Inspired™ recognition by the Open Compute Project (OCP), reinforcing its alignment with open, efficient, and scalable liquid cooling solutions for modern data centers.

COOLWAVE DC-25 is a high-performance, inhibited USP-grade propylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid engineered specifically for data center liquid cooling applications. Designed to support both direct-to-chip and liquid-to-liquid cooling architectures, COOLWAVE DC-25 delivers reliable thermal performance, corrosion protection, and long-term fluid stability across a wide range of operating conditions.

The OCP Inspired™ designation recognizes solutions that align with OCP-recognized specifications and contribute to advancing open infrastructure innovation. This recognition underscores COOLWAVE DC-25’s compatibility with emerging liquid cooling ecosystems and its ability to meet the performance and operational demands of next-generation AI and high-density compute environments.

“Achieving OCP Inspired™ status is an important milestone for Dober and validates our commitment to delivering high-quality, data-center-ready thermal fluids,” said Dan Dobrez, executive vice president at Dober. “As the industry accelerates toward liquid cooling, customers need trusted, proven chemistries that integrate seamlessly into open systems. COOLWAVE DC-25 is purpose-built to meet that need.”

COOLWAVE DC-25 features:

  • Optimized thermal conductivity and heat transfer efficiency
  • Advanced corrosion inhibition for multi-metal system protection
  • Low toxicity, USP-grade propylene glycol formulation
  • Fluorescent dye option for rapid leak detection
  • Availability in bulk, totes, and drums for scalable deployment

As data centers transition toward liquid cooling to support AI, HPC, and high-density workloads, fluid selection plays a critical role in system reliability and total cost of ownership. COOLWAVE DC-25 is engineered to help operators reduce risk, simplify maintenance, and improve cooling performance in mission-critical environments.
