Enables Accurate Detection and Classification of Small Targets in Complex Environments at Distances Exceeding 1 km
MONROVIA, Calif.: SiLC Technologies, Inc. (SiLC) today announced Eyeonic® Vista (Vista), an ultra-long-range, high-resolution 4D vision system. Vista introduces a new benchmark in long-range sensing, combining precision, robustness, and intelligent target analysis in a compact, ruggedized platform. The new 8-channel system leverages dynamic Region of Interest (ROI) scaling to enhance resolution, enabling the identification and tracking of small targets with unprecedented clarity and responsiveness at distances exceeding 1 km.
Built for mission-critical applications such as perimeter security, counter-UAS operations, and port and maritime monitoring, Vista reliably identifies humans, animals, vehicles, drones, and unauthorized vessels in complex environments. It is also well suited for rail and other sensitive infrastructure, including airports, borders, prisons, ports, power stations, and military assets, as well as public venues such as stadiums, arenas, capital buildings, and historical landmarks.
Addressing a Growing Detection Gap
Security environments are becoming increasingly complex as critical infrastructure expands and low-cost autonomous systems proliferate. Small unmanned aerial systems (UAS) are particularly challenging, operating at low altitude, moving quickly, and blending into cluttered environments where conventional sensing technologies struggle to reliably detect and classify them.
Radar systems often lack the resolution to identify small or slow-moving objects, while optical-electronic (OE) systems are limited by lighting conditions, environmental interference, and a lack of direct velocity measurement. These limitations impact counter-UAS, border security, and maritime monitoring applications, where accurate classification between benign and potentially threatening objects is critical.
Demand is increasing for sensing systems that can deliver reliable long-range performance and accurate classification in low-visibility and cluttered conditions across defense, infrastructure, and public safety applications. Vista delivers high-resolution spatial data for precise detection and tracking. SiLC’s vision system extends performance with longer range, direct velocity sensing, and polarization measurement, enabling improved classification of drones, birds, vehicles, and people - even in fog, dust, dense foliage, or complex urban environments.
“Our high-resolution, long-range performance is driven by our innovative silicon photonics engine, which integrates multiple laser channels and coherent detectors on a single chip,” said Mehdi Asghari, CEO of SiLC Technologies. “Vista leverages 8 parallel channels to capture more data points per target, enabling precise imaging even in the most difficult outdoor conditions.”
Eyeonic Vista Key Features
Eyeonic Vista stands apart from alternative solutions by delivering long-range performance exceeding distances of 1 km, capabilities not currently available in other commercial systems. Features include:
Demonstrations at XPONENTIAL 2026
SiLC is featuring Eyeonic Vista this week at XPONENTIAL 2026 in Detroit, Michigan, from May 12–14, at Booth #22013. To schedule a meeting, contact@silc.com.
Also, at XPONENTIAL, Mehdi Asghari will present “A New 4D Vision System Provides High-Resolution Visibility for Perimeter Security at Distances Exceeding 1 km” on Tuesday, May 12, from 3:00–3:25 p.m. in the Innovations Theatre. Asghari will highlight the underlying technology behind Eyeonic Vista and its implications for next-generation sensing systems.
