Q1 2026 bookings growth hits 118% YoY, driven by customer demand for ransomware-resilient backup storage

DENVER: Object First, the ransomware-proof on-premises backup storage company, today announced 118% year-over-year (YoY) bookings growth in Q1 2026, reflecting expanding global adoption of immutable backup storage as organizations harden their last line of defense against ransomware and other destructive cyberattacks.

The foundation of a strong security posture is immutable backup storage. When cyberattacks inevitably occur, the ability to recover data quickly and safely can make or break an organization’s survival. Object First is helping customers meet this challenge with Veeam® Software, the Data and AI Trust company, to deploy purpose-built, immutable storage that's simple to operate and designed to ensure they can recover their Veeam data when production environments are compromised. Object First enables customers to ensure business resilience and meet vital regulatory and compliance initiatives, such as data sovereignty.

Q1 2026 Growth Highlights

  • 118% YoY bookings growth in Q1 2026
    • EMEA bookings up 275% YoY, driven by data sovereignty and compliance requirements
    • Americas bookings up 45% YoY
    • Six‑figure+ deals doubled (up 100% YoY), reflecting broader enterprise adoption
  • 115% YoY increase in global customer growth
  • 81% YoY increase in transacting partners

Customer Demand and Channel Momentum

  • Q1 wins spanned multiple industries worldwide, including public sector, financial services, hospitality, gaming, manufacturing, and mining. New healthcare customers included a national public health system and a Benelux hospital group that required a secure solution purpose-built for Veeam.
  • Compliance and data sovereignty also fueled momentum, including a German manufacturer that selected Object First’s on-premises immutable backup storage to maintain full control of its data.
  • Object First expanded partner reach through a new distribution agreement with TD SYNNEX Germany and elevated SVA System Vertrieb Alexander GmbH, one of Germany’s largest Veeam partners, to Platinum Partner status.

"Object First is optimal for organizations with constrained IT teams and high requirements for data security, ransomware protection, and easy scalability,” said Dawid Macierzynski, Deputy IT Manager and Administrator at Schomburg, an Object First customer. “Our backup and restore processes have become significantly faster, especially when dealing with large volumes of data. Administrative overhead has noticeably decreased since there is no longer an additional server layer or complex storage management required. Maintenance effort is minimal and maintenance intervals are very short."

“Our recent multi-site deployment with Object First and Veeam for a large regional engineering firm in the Mid-Atlantic is a strong example of what the combined solutions can deliver,” said Pete Mastrogiacomo, Market Development Executive at Insight, an Object First partner. “For customers with complex, multi-location environments, having two best-in-class solutions working together makes all the difference.”

"Ransomware isn't slowing down, and organizations are responding by making immutable backup storage a non-negotiable part of their security strategy,” David Bennett, CEO at Object First. “In Europe, data sovereignty pressures are adding more urgency as organizations want their data on-premises and fully under their control. The momentum we are seeing from our joint go-to-market with Veeam shows the value we offer customers together."

Industry Accolades

Object First was named a 2026 Global InfoSec Award winner by Cyber Defense Magazine in the "Hot Company Data Security" category at the RSAC Conference in March. The company also received three CRN® honors: the 2026 Partner Program Guide, the 2026 Cloud 100, and the 2026 Channel Chiefs, which recognized Object First's channel-first approach and continued investment in its partner ecosystem.
