SINGAPORE: #ESL--SOLUM (KRX: 248070) announced that it has successfully held its “Singapore Private Show” at Marina Bay Sands (Maison Boulud) in Singapore, presenting smart retail solutions and partnership models tailored to the Southeast Asian market.
The event was organized to expand market-specific solutions based on collaboration with local partners. It brought together 53 participants, including 26 decision-makers from the Southeast Asian operations of global retailers across sectors such as grocery, shopping malls, convenience stores, cosmetics, and electronics, along with 27 officials from solution providers.
Rather than simply showcasing products, SOLUM introduced partnership models it has established with its partners. The company highlighted collaboration plans with five partners-HUAWEI APAC, Omnishelf, NStory, elTOV, and Broadsign-showing how to drive retailer monetization, operational efficiency, and AX (AI Transformation).
In the area of monetization, SOLUM is working with Broadsign, a retail media platform provider, to help retailers create new revenue streams through in-store advertising, with SOLUM supplying the hardware infrastructure. The company is also exploring data-driven monetization strategies with NStory, which holds purchasing data from the Southeast Asian F&B and SMB markets.
To enhance operational efficiency, SOLUM has jointly developed a BLE-based network environment with HUAWEI APAC to power store IoT devices, including Electronic Shelf Label (ESL), thereby reducing the burden of adopting digital transformation for small and medium-sized stores. In addition, the company has integrated its solution with Omnishelf to enable real-time digitization of shelf inventory.
In the area of AX, SOLUM is supplying hardware to elTOV to support the development of an “AI Way Finding Agent” service model in response to the growing adoption of AI-based visitor interaction services at large shopping malls and airports in Southeast Asia.
Yi Ki Chul, Head of SOLUM Singapore, who led the event, said, “We have established a collaborative framework that combines SOLUM’s operational capabilities with the local data and infrastructure capabilities of our partners.” He added, “As proven references are a key source of competitiveness in the Southeast Asian market, we plan to turn the Proof of Concept (PoC) discussions from this event into tangible outcomes in store operations.”
Building on the momentum from the event, SOLUM plans to further expand its business in Southeast Asia through locally grounded partnerships.
