AI infrastructure company plans to bring 500 MW online in 2027 as the first phase of a multi-gigawatt roadmap

NEW YORK: Crux AI today launched as a U.S.-based AI infrastructure company built to deliver dedicated compute at industrial scale.

Crux AI integrates power, data center capacity, networking, accelerated computing, software and operations into a single, reliability-engineered platform for the world’s most demanding AI workloads. By designing and operating the infrastructure as one system, Crux AI will give customers a single accountable partner, from long-term capacity planning through production deployment.

Crux AI is designed for AI labs, leading technology companies, enterprises and governments that require substantial dedicated capacity, production-grade reliability and infrastructure tailored to their technical and operational needs. Crux AI plans to bring its first 500 MW of TPU capacity online in 2027, the initial phase of its multi-gigawatt scaling roadmap.

“AI presents a generational technological shift and, with it, the opportunity to reimagine the infrastructure powering it from the ground up,” said Benjamin Treynor Sloss, Chief Executive Officer of Crux AI. “That is what we are building at Crux AI: an integrated platform designed end-to-end to operate reliably at enormous scale. Our ambition is to become the infrastructure company trusted with the workloads that matter most.”

Sloss spent more than two decades at Google, where he originated the discipline of Site Reliability Engineering and led the development and operation of critical infrastructure spanning Google’s global networks, data centers, production software systems and infrastructure operations.

Crux AI has secured an initial $5 billion equity commitment from funds managed by Blackstone. For its launch platform, Google will provide TPUs, software and services. These relationships give Crux AI access to substantial long-term capital and differentiated technology.

Crux AI is actively hiring engineers, infrastructure operators, and technical leaders who want to build consequential systems from the ground up. For more information, visit crux.ai.
