CHICAGO: Joe Amara Executive Search has been selected by a large independent power producer to lead a confidential search for a Head of Power Origination. The executive will lead commercial strategy across a national wind, solar, and battery storage portfolio, with a central focus on attracting large-load customers and negotiating complex, long-term power agreements.

The assignment places customer origination and transaction execution at the center of a senior leadership mandate. The incoming executive will build relationships with data centers and other major commercial and industrial electricity users, structure power supply solutions, and negotiate agreements that align customer requirements with project economics, financing, and delivery.

Working closely with development, trading, finance, legal, and senior leadership, the Head of Power Origination will lead an established commercial team and guide transactions across major U.S. electricity markets.

The search seeks an experienced power-sector executive with a record of structuring and closing sophisticated commercial agreements, developing customer relationships, and leading teams through complex project negotiations. Experience across wind, solar, and battery storage, together with an understanding of data-center and other large-load customer requirements, will be particularly relevant.
