AI Made in Italy: Vedrai acquires 60% of Indigo.ai

Another key step in the growth path of Vedrai Group, founded in 2020 and already established as a key player in Artificial Intelligence solutions

Startups

Vedrai, the Italian startup founded in 2020 to develop solutions based on Artificial Intelligence to support decision-making of small and medium-sized enterprises, acquires 60% of Indigo.ai, a leading company in Conversational Artificial Intelligence solutions.

Founded in 2016 and based in Milan, Italy, Indigo.ai is one of the main players in the field of Natural Language Understanding and Natural Language Generation and has been chosen with its solutions by some of the most innovative companies in the world - such as Lavazza, Just Eat and Santander Consumer Bank - to increase sales and improve the user experience, thanks to cutting-edge technology and an AI platform built to be used by the business, marketing and customer care teams of companies, without necessarily having the skills of a data scientist.

With this acquisition, Vedrai will be able to make the conversational Artificial Intelligence of Indigo.ai available to SMEs, the completely "no-code" platform designed to allow even those without technical skills to develop chatbots and conversational interfaces in order to increase sales and improve customer service. The solutions developed by Vedrai will interact with those of Indigo.ai to accelerate the common path of growth also outside of Italy.

"Vedrai shares with Indigo.ai the mission of making Artificial Intelligence a democratic tool, which knows how to speak concretely to the problems of companies, even those that by size or culture are usually not directly involved in big innovation processes. Indigo.ai technologies will allow us to make our solutions even simpler and more intuitive to use, developing an interaction mode based on natural language that does not require training”, says Michele Grazioli, President of Vedrai.

"Thanks to the collaboration with Vedrai, Indigo.ai will accelerate its growth path, strengthening its positioning as a reference point for all companies that want to evolve the Customer Experience using artificial intelligence. Vedrai's mission is perfectly aligned with our ambitions and, like us, aims to make AI a technology that is finally accessible”, adds Gianluca Maruzzella, Co-founder & CEO of Indigo.ai.
