New capability saves care teams hundreds of hours weekly, replacing voicemail-based workflows with actionable tasks sent directly to care teams
ATLANTA: #AI--Relatient, the leading patient scheduling platform, today announced a clinical request automation capability for its Dash Voice AI solution. The AI voice agent now automatically captures patients' clinical, medication, billing and other requests, then creates an actionable task for the right care team directly within existing workflow tools, like an EHR. This new functionality eliminates the voicemail bottleneck that absorbs staff time, replacing the manual cycle of listening, transcribing, and entering tasks, enabling faster response times with fewer patient hang-ups and callbacks.
“Dash Voice AI already autonomously handles thousands of scheduling-related calls for our clients without the need for human intervention, but scheduling only represents about half of patient inquiries,” said Jeff Gartland, CEO of Relatient. “This new capability allows every nurse question, prescription request, and billing inquiry to transform into an actionable task the moment the call ends. Our data shows that for organizations fielding more than a thousand voicemails per week, our Voice AI can save over 300 staff hours in that same time-hours they can now spend on patient care.”
According to Relatient data, 35% of the calls healthcare organizations receive are clinical requests, like questions for the nurse or prescription inquiries. Handling those requests still depends on patients waiting on hold or leaving voicemails that staff must retrieve, transcribe and route to the appropriate department before anyone can respond.
Dash Voice AI’s new capability replaces this manual process entirely. It captures each patient request and creates an actionable task for the right care team to address within existing workflow tools, without staff intervention. The solution triages each request in real time, using appointment context, patient record data, and information shared during a call, then attaching accurate notes to each task so staff can act without hunting for context. Healthcare organizations have full control over routing and defining which request types go to which care team, including departments like surgical and billing, so requests reach the right people across the entire organization.
“For far too long, the communication model between patients and care teams has been built around waiting. Patients wait on hold, wait for a callback, and wait for someone to work through a voicemail queue,” said David Dyke, Chief Product Officer at Relatient. “This new Dash Voice AI feature changes the model itself. The moment a patient expresses a need, that need becomes structured, actionable work for the right team, regardless of specialty or how the organization is set up. When the request moves that easily, it's better for the patient, staff, and practice all at once.”
The new intelligent request automation capability is live today for all new and existing Relatient customers, with more on the horizon for Dash Voice AI.
