Collaboration streamlines clinical workflows, enables real-time clinical communication between settings of care, and unlocks new revenue opportunities

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.: WellBeam, a healthcare technology company focused on improving longitudinal care management through seamless EMR and clinical workflow interoperability, today announced a strategic partnership with Kettering Health, a regional integrated health system, and Alternate Solutions Health Network (ASHN), a leading provider of home health services. Together, the organizations are modernizing how physicians and home health clinicians collaborate to more effectively manage longitudinal patient care by embedding key clinical workflows for home health management directly into existing EMR integrated physician workflows

As more care shifts into the home, health systems and home health providers face increasing pressure to coordinate care efficiently across organizational boundaries. Yet many critical workflows, including order management, physician signatures, and clinical communication, still rely on fax, phone calls, and manual follow-up. These fragmented processes create administrative burden, difficulties in billing, and limit effectiveness in care management between clinical care teams.

Through WellBeam's EMR-integrated platform, Kettering Health physicians and ASHN clinicians will be connected through digital workflows that streamline document management, enable seamless clinical communication, and support more efficient collaboration around patients receiving care at home.

For Kettering Health, the initiative creates an opportunity to improve operational efficiency while automatically capturing billable charges associated with physician oversight activities already being performed as part of home health care management. For ASHN, streamlined physician communication and digital document workflows are expected to improve patient care and clinician satisfaction while reducing administrative burden.

"Strong collaboration with our home health agency partner is essential to supporting patients across settings,” said Jody Underwood, Vice President of Population Health, Kettering Health. “WellBeam connects our physicians and ASHN’s clinicians through more efficient workflows that strengthen communication and care coordination.”

WellBeam enables physicians to electronically review and sign home health orders and care plans directly within their existing EMR workflows. The platform also supports seamless care management between physician teams and home health clinicians while automatically routing completed documentation back into the medical record, eliminating many of the manual steps traditionally required to manage post-acute workflows.

"We are continually looking for ways to simplify processes for our clinicians and strengthen collaboration with our physician partners," said Al Lefeld, Chief Transformation Officer, Alternate Solutions Health Network. "This partnership helps reduce delays associated with manual workflows while creating a more efficient experience for the teams caring for patients at home."

Organizations using WellBeam have demonstrated significant improvements in operational performance through faster document turnaround times, reduced administrative burden, and improved financial outcomes. By replacing fragmented communication channels with standardized EMR-integrated workflows, providers can spend less time managing paperwork and more time focused on patient care.

"Kettering Health and ASHN share a commitment to innovation and operational excellence," said Amee Devani, CEO and Co-Founder of WellBeam. "When health systems and home health providers are connected through interoperable, EMR-native workflows, they can reduce administrative friction, strengthen collaboration, and create meaningful value across both organizations."
