SAN FRANCISCO: Unlearn®, a leader in AI solutions for clinical trials, today announced Krates Ng as its Chief Technology Officer. As a seasoned technology leader with deep experience in enterprise software, Ng joins the team at an optimal time in its growth as it scales to deliver software solutions that accelerate clinical trials and transform drug development. In his role, Ng will work cross-functionally to build technical and operational foundations to expand upon Unlearn’s commercial expansion of its innovative AI technologies.
"After almost a decade, Unlearn is at an inflection point where we are advancing our mission through expanded offerings built to meet market and customer demand,” said Steve Herne, CEO of Unlearn. “With his deep experience building and scaling products and teams across markets, we’re thrilled to bring Krates on board in this next phase of our growth trajectory.”
Ng joins Unlearn after serving as the Chief Technology Officer at ProducePay since December 2021. Prior to that role, Ng held the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering at RapidAI where he transformed operational efficiencies and was responsible for the product, engineering, and machine learning teams developing market-leading AI-powered clinical decision support products. He was also the co-founder of CliniCast, an oncology-focused machine learning and software startup supporting value-based care, which was successfully acquired. Ng holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
"Unlearn is applying cutting-edge science to one of the biggest challenges in medicine—making clinical trials faster, more efficient, and more effective,” said Ng. “Drawn to the bold vision and the strength of the team, I’m excited to join Unlearn and be a part of its story bringing powerful AI innovations into real-world clinical research.”
