Enhanced StudentSafe expands beyond threat assessment to support consistent responses to student wellbeing concerns amid rising compliance expectations.

HOUSTON: As K-12 schools face growing scrutiny around how student wellbeing concerns are identified, documented, and addressed, Raptor Technologies® today announced an advancement of StudentSafe™, strengthening its industry-leading threat assessment capabilities while expanding the platform to support earlier, more consistent responses to concerns such as bullying, harassment, suicide risk, and other early warning signs.

StudentSafe is designed to help schools act sooner-before issues escalate-while creating clear, auditable records that demonstrate appropriate actions as concerns emerge. By connecting early concern reporting with guided assessment and intervention workflows, the expanded platform supports student wellbeing while helping schools support sound decision-making and meet operational, legal, and compliance expectations.

These innovations strengthen StudentSafe’s core workflows for capturing and managing early concerns and are supported by curated training and coaching programs designed to help schools build consistency and confidence as expectations from families, regulators, and courts continue to increase.

Why Early Identification Matters

Bullying and harassment are often among the first visible indicators that a student may be struggling. Research has shown strong associations between bullying, poor mental health, and increased suicide and self-injury risks, underscoring the value of identifying and addressing concerns early.

When early warning signs are identified and addressed consistently, schools are better positioned to intervene sooner, support students more effectively, and demonstrate appropriate, policy-aligned action as situations evolve.

“Schools are under increasing pressure to recognize concerns sooner, respond consistently, and demonstrate that policies are being followed,” said Gray Hall, CEO of Raptor Technologies. “StudentSafe was designed for this reality. By combining straightforward technology with expert‑led training and coaching, we help schools act earlier, document decisions, and reduce risk-without adding complexity for staff.”

Turning Early Signals into Consistent Action

With StudentSafe, authorized staff can log concerns from any web or mobile device without needing to determine severity or next steps. The system guides each concern through standardized workflows aligned to district policy and state requirements, helping schools replace fragmented, informal processes with defensible documentation they can rely on when decisions are reviewed.

In support of these new StudentSafe capabilities, Raptor is providing expanded online training to support teachers, administrators, counselors, and support teams in identifying early warning signs, recognizing broader patterns, and escalating appropriately when needed. Expert coaching, including guidance from Raptor’s nationally recognized leaders, including Dr. Marisa Randazzo and the SIGMA team, is also available through tailored programs to support complex or high-risk situations and reinforce policy-aligned practices.

“Despite it being a high priority, schools often struggle with addressing student concerns,” said Dr. Randazzo. “They struggle because information and processes are often fragmented. When concerns like bullying are captured early and managed through consistent, policy‑aligned processes, schools are better positioned to support students and intervene before situations escalate. StudentSafe provides schools one place to capture and address all those situations.”

A Unified View of Student Wellbeing

By bringing bullying, suicide risk, threat assessment, and related student wellbeing workflows into a single system, StudentSafe provides a centralized, auditable record of student wellbeing activity-replacing siloed tools and informal processes with greater visibility and accountability.

Through its integration with Raptor Insight, an analytics solution that transforms StudentSafe data into interactive dashboards and reports, school and district leaders gain greater visibility into trends across campuses, helping them identify gaps, target training, allocate resources, and strengthen prevention strategies.

These advancements reflect Raptor’s continued commitment to pairing practical technology with expert knowledge to help schools shift from reactive response to proactive, well-informed decision-making-while meeting rising expectations around student wellbeing, compliance, and accountability.
