In this role, Kropac will lead daily operations and implement the growth strategy of Peraton’s advanced research and development business unit.

With roots tracing back more than a century to Bell Labs, Peraton Labs is known for its decades of pioneering work in telecommunications, cybersecurity, and national security technologies. Today, the Peraton Labs team of world-class scientists, engineers, researchers, and technologists serve as the company's engine for technology development and innovation.

“Steve’s deep technical expertise across cyber, telecommunications, and electronic warfare, combined with his track record of translating cutting-edge R&D into real-world capabilities makes him the right leader to take Peraton Labs to the next level,” said Todd Borkey, Chief Technology Officer. “His experience working at the intersection of government and industry will be a tremendous asset as we continue to advance Peraton’s technology vision across the entire business portfolio and deliver differentiated, cutting-edge solutions for our customers.”

With 30 years of experience, Kropac is a recognized expert in telecommunications, cyber operations, electronic warfare, C5-ISRT capabilities, cloud computing, and 4G/5G networks. Prior to CTI, he served as Vice President and Lead Technologist for Cyber Operations Research and Engineering at CACI, where he led staff across six states and was responsible for more than 40 programs.

“I am honored to join Peraton and contribute to the company’s mission of leveraging unparalleled tools and technology to address our nation’s most critical national security challenges,” said Kropac. “I look forward to working with this talented team to push the boundaries of what is possible and ensure our customers have the advanced capabilities they need.”
