Second Acquisition of Early 2026 Expands Daida's Government and Regulated Industry Presence Across the Northeast
EDISON, N.J.: Daida, a national provider of business process services and document digitization, digital workflow, and enterprise content management services, today announced the acquisition of Scan-Optics, LLC ("Scan-Optics"), a Manchester, Connecticut-based leader in intelligent document processing, managed capture services, and digital transformation. The transaction marks Daida's sixth add-on acquisition under the ownership of HiGro Group ("HiGro") and its affiliates - and the second acquisition completed in early 2026.
Founded in 1968, Scan-Optics has built one of the most respected brands in document management and digital transformation, serving state and local governments, higher education institutions, financial services organizations, and other regulated industry clients for more than five decades. The acquisition adds significant client density across the Northeast, a high-capacity production operation, and an experienced sales and delivery team to Daida's national platform.
A Trusted Brand Across Regulated Industries
Scan-Optics has spent more than 55 years earning deep client relationships across some of the most compliance-intensive sectors in the market. Its client base spans state and local government agencies, municipalities, housing authorities, higher education institutions, financial services organizations, and insurance providers - all sectors where precision, security, chain of custody, and long-term client trust are non-negotiable requirements.
This breadth of regulated industry experience - combined with Scan-Optics' SOC II and HIPAA compliance and CJIS certification - reflects the operational sophistication and compliance infrastructure that clients in these sectors demand. These credentials, and the client relationships built around them, are central to what Daida acquired.
The combined Daida organization now serves more than 600 state and local government clients nationally, with an accelerating presence across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic corridor.
High-Volume Production at Enterprise Scale
Scan-Optics operates a 32,000 square foot secure production facility in Manchester, Connecticut, with the capacity to digitize up to four million pages daily. This operational scale - built and refined over decades of serving high-volume, compliance-driven clients - represents a significant addition to Daida's production capabilities and geographic footprint in the Northeast.
The facility's security and compliance infrastructure, combined with Scan-Optics' rigorous quality assurance processes and chain of custody protocols, positions the combined organization to take on the most complex, high-stakes document management engagements in the market.
Why This Acquisition Matters
"Scan-Optics is exactly the kind of company we look for - deep market credibility, a sophisticated production operation, and client relationships built on decades of trust in regulated environments," said Natalie Schubert, CEO of Daida. "Their team has built something that cannot be replicated quickly: a reputation for precision and accountability across some of the most demanding client environments in the country. We are excited to bring that capability onto the Daida platform and accelerate what they have built."
"This acquisition deepens HiGro's investment in a sector we believe is entering a sustained period of growth," said Ernest Lyles, Managing Partner of HiGro. "The demand for secure, compliant, high-volume document management is expanding across government and regulated industries alike. Daida is building the most capable platform in this space, and Scan-Optics is an important part of that foundation."
A Platform Built for Scale - and Built to Grow Through Acquisition
Daida's growth strategy combines organic expansion with disciplined acquisitions of market-leading businesses in document management, enterprise content management, and government and regulated industry services. With two acquisitions completed in early 2026 - Foveonics Document Solutions in New Jersey and now Scan-Optics in Connecticut - Daida has established a dominant presence across the Northeast and continues to actively evaluate opportunities nationally.
