NEW YORK: IPVanish, a leading provider of secure and private VPN services, has affirmed its strict no-log policy through an independent audit by Schellman, a leading provider of attestation and compliance services. This latest third-party verification affirms IPVanish’s no-log policy, confirming it does not collect, store, or monitor user activity while reinforcing its commitment to customer privacy.

Audit Confirms User Privacy Is Protected

Committed to transparency, IPVanish follows a strict no-log policy, as its Privacy Policy outlines. While essential account details like email addresses and payment information are retained, no identifying traffic —such as browsing history, login IP addresses, search queries, app usage, file transfers, or streaming activity—is collected or stored. Independent audits reinforce this commitment, ensuring complete user privacy.

The key findings of the audit include:

  • No Logging of Internet Activity: IPVanish does not log any customer internet traffic or activity while connected to its VPN servers.
  • No Metadata Retention: IPVanish does not retain metadata related to VPN traffic, DNS queries, or user IP addresses.
  • No Network Traffic Inspection: IPVanish does not inspect or log any traffic that passes through its VPN servers, ensuring complete privacy.
  • No Logging of Connected Services: IPVanish does not track or log information about the websites, applications, or services users access while using the VPN.
  • Consistent Privacy Standards Across All Servers: IPVanish applies its strict no-log policy uniformly across all servers, regions, and subscription tiers.

The audit further highlights IPVanish’s dedication to transparency and accountability. As part of its commitment to security best practices, IPVanish continues to implement stringent privacy measures and undergo independent assessments to maintain the highest data protection standards.

Ongoing Commitment to Transparency & Consumer Security

Alongside the release of this audit, IPVanish published a Transparency Report within its new Trust Center, offering users a clear view of its data protection and handling practices.

IPVanish also expanded its suite of security tools with a built-in Link Checker for its VPN apps alongside a new QR Code Checker for mobile, designed to help users detect and avoid malicious URLs. These new tools complement existing features like Threat Protection, which blocks known malicious sites, ads, and trackers—further enhancing security and providing safer browsing for VPN users.
